Building future generations through provision of quality education

In partnership with MKKS, YDA have been providing primary education under ‘Literacy Program for Out of School Children in Slums’ at St. Mary’s Primary Education Center and since August 2017 to March 2024, total 560 students have passed. Primary class was started in 2019 and so far 2 boys and 6 girls have passed primary certificate. YDA also became partner of WG as well. At present 90 students are enrolled.

YDA started formal primary education on 14 August 2017 and at the moment in the year 2024, 100 children from preprimary to grade 5 are being taught the Federal Education Board Syllabus and different activities have been carried out. The teachers teach a combination of federal government’s primary education syllabus, educational activities, life skills and spiritual formation. Students of St. Mary’s are later linked up to public school for admission. Every fort-night different activities such as plantation, indoor games, national days and events, dental hygiene, hand washing, sexual abuse awareness, personal hygiene, fruit days, color days, cartoon screening, and art work are also conducted.
