Positive youth development programs strengthen young people’s sense of identity, belief in the future, self-regulation, and self-efficacy as well as their social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral competence. YDA envisions Patriotic, drug free productive Youth and currently focuses on youth living in urban slums of Islamabad. Investing in youth is actually investing in our future, future of our nation. YDA envisions Patriotic, drug free and productive Youth and currently focuses on youth living in urban slums of Islamabad. Under Youth Development, youth from the slums are engaged in healthy & civic activities and mentors through awareness sessions, career counseling, education, life skills, personality development, entrepreneurial and technical/vocational skills.
Focusing this YDA started a project on Human Rights Education for Youth. Under this project, YDA provided the opportunity to youth (Age 18-29 Years) of five different Christian communities in federal area of Pakistan to get awareness on human rights education and constitutional rights. The main objective of the Human Rights Education Campaign for Youth was to empower young women and men to critically analyze the human rights problems in their community and seek out solutions that are consistent with human rights values and standards (with reference to the constitution of Pakistan).
